Christmas is almost over, and since I have been visiting my family the last week or so, I haven’t had a lot of time to blog. Instead, I have decided to put together a small source or inspiration about what to do with all the food you have left over from the past few days. Depending on how much you have and how big your family is, you can eat a whole day or even a couple of days with minimum effort. Or if you still like to make it fancy, it’s up to you how much time you spend in the kitchen to transfer your left overs into a delicious and pretty new dish!
I have always been against throwing away food. Whenever I see anybody throwing away good food that is still perfectly fine to eat, it just makes me mad. Thinking about all the countries with millions of people not being able to eat enough food, and at the same time all those people just throwing all those beautiful nutrients away… It makes me believe there is something seriously wrong with the world. Therefor, I challenge you to spend a little bit of extra time in the kitchen and turn your left over foods into something new. Donate the money you save to charities or your local homeless shelter.
Now before you start, it might be handy to know for how long you can still keep your foods good in the fridge. For that, I came across this great list by Still Tasty.
